Two Different Types of CV Joints !! HELP

Post by ft02nv »

I have recently ordered a 2nd hand Gearbox to put into my car, i have a 95 GPX mivec and a 4 speed auto box,

The gearbox ive order is exactly the same 4 speed Auto ( though i ddont know what model FTO it came out from )
And the 2nd hand box has BIGGER CV end shafts, it isnt to much bigger something like 2-3cm bigger on the end shaft to fit into the Gearbox, Now im hopelessly hunting for the CV's that will go into this thing..

Anyone know if this is the case ? Ive put the gearbox in today and to be honest i dont want to have to take it apart just because of a different CV joint that is larger in size.

Regards,

I'll put money on the new box having an LSD diff, hence the thicker stub axles.

By bigger do you mean thicker or longer, or both?
Where are you located?
