WTS: Tiptronic transmission + accessories

Post by Dras »

I have a 4 speed tiptronic gearbox (off a 1996 GR), flexplate, torque converter , driveshafts, transmission cooler (stock) and gear selector assembly that I am looking to get rid of.

The parts are all in good condition and still on my car but I will be doing a manual conversion within the next month. Anyone seriously considering this can even take my car for a spin to make sure they are happy with the condition of the gearbox.

The car has done about 170,000 and the gearbox has been well looked after with regular fluid changes.

I am located near Parklea Markets in NSW.

Hi mate,
I am in desperate need of a tip box 4 speed for my car, How much is it ?
I was wondering in what condition the box is in and if you are willing to sell the torque converter seperately ?

Thanks

By left, do you mean the drivers side or passenger side?

The drive shafts are in good condition but it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to replace the rubber boots.

At this stage I am hoping to sell the gearbox with the drive shafts as there are so many different drive shafts that were used on the FTO. Failing that I will part it out.

If you PM me the chassis number of your FTO, I will be able to tell you if my ones will even fit in your car. The chassis number is punched on the firewall and starts with DE2A or DE3A (This assumes you have the original transmission in the car).

Still got this?
I'm interested in the drive shafts (if they're the right ones) and possibly the converter..or even the whole deal depending on what your asking.
I just fitted a tip box but have the wrong axles, well the wrong inner splined stubs.
