Your Thoughts/Past experience with Lube Mobile?

Post by Rambo »

Anyone used Lube Mobile before :?:
and if there good value?
Im getting one of there mechanics to come check out my car $79 for call out quote for (15-25min labor costs)

Hope its not some snobby guy overpricing me just to fix a small problem :? .. only reason im using lube mobile is because my normal mechanic is 45 min and will struggle to get there..

They're a mixed bag. Some good, some bad...

they've been good.. i've used them a couple of times..

trusted them to work on my car more so than the local mechanics I called around to who wouldn't even give a ball park figure for the work being done without me getting my car towed in to them .. the call out was going to be less than getting the car towed to the local mechanics & back again if they were going to try & overcharge..

even working on all the Turbo gear they were pretty good (from my experiences)

That's what I've heard

I had a good experience with them.. they were cheaper than my mechanic, replaced the clutch in my old lancer in my girlfriend's front yard :)
Plus saved me on towing :)

I heard they are pretty good for general servicing, fairly similar price point to a standard mechanic but they come to you instead which is far more convenient.

As for replacing parts, yes it's probably cheaper to get a general mechanic to do that, depending.

Yeh 400 for the timing belt alone seems to be cheap these days. I know a few ppl that are probs getting over charged for it but they are paying upto about 600 just for the timing belt..
