Hi Stephen,

Do you know where those guys are at?
In Sydney? If so, where abouts?
The modyourcar.com guys I mean...
And any contact details?

Thank you,

I don't know why you haven't driven the car yet but it'll be good if you can tell us how it performs as I am very much wanting to use dynamat my self but not sure how good they are....cause they aren't exactly that cheap.

So please let us know how you go with this...

Thank you,
will do, but it'll be a few weeks as im just back from holiday and my engine is off to my engine builder for a rebuild at the moment.

Either Fast Fours or Hot Fours (can't remember which one) ran an extensive article on sound proofing with all info on s/proof products inc effectivness, ease of application, and value for $ as well as complete D.I.Y. instructions (doors boot floor pan and firewall). Unfortunately I can't remember which issue but i'ii go thru my stack and try to find it. Maybe Jun would know which one because it's well worth reading for anyone into ICE

i dont mind the sound of the mivec, but the road noise is getting to me. although its more hardcore with road and engine noise, it gets irritating after a while.

i would be very keen on the HOT4s/ fast 4sarticle as well

sorry, my train of thought got derailed.

what i was meant to say was, apparantly the most effective way to elimitate road noise was to apply sound deadning to the floorpan of the car.

im just curious to see if anyone has done it and/or has any recommendations on the material, like the stuff from jaycar. cos if i do rip out all my seats and carpet, i want to make sure i only need to do it once.

boy do i ramble on.

i believe airbornespanner has done some extensive sound proofing on his car from memory...

being in the 'mature age' range, him and his wife prefer the more subdue sounds of the FTO rather than the 'car alarm setting of exhaust power' of some fto's (aka kaveman :P )
