defect and points question.

hey guys i dno if this has been brought up, but ive been browsing through sites and saw various answers to my questions but i was just wondering, i live in NSW and if i get pulled over and get a defect for anything will i lose any demerit points? taking into consideration that im still a p-plater?

shouldn't do, as its not a "driving offence" but NSW is a fucked up place so, no idea.

well the only thing im worried about are my tail lights, since theyre tinted.
its the only defect apart from my angel eyes but i highly doubt ill get done for those since ive driven past many cops.

if i get done for my tail lights how much am i look at? hundreds??

do you have LEDs all through your rear tailights eg brake lights, reverse indicators etc

haha nope but theyre still quite visible.
where am i able to buy LED? are they just normal white LED's?
or are there specific ones for brake lights, etc?

i'm not sure which is which but LEDs are quite a bit brighter then standard in the day, so they'd be your best bet to avoid defects.

if you go into autobahn, supercheap, repco, or whoever you go to, saying you want LED replacements they should know what you're talking about

Didn't you put the tint overlay stuff if so if they say some thing act dumb and rip the sh*t off in front of them im sure they wouldn't be that slack to give you one after that cause its no longer defectable

yeah i did, but never know, police discretion.
maybe ill just take them off to avoid the hassle haha.
