Some canister thingy

Post by silverGPX »

When i was changing my fuel filter i found a canister thingy ziptied to one of the rear intake manifold brackets with two vacuum lines attached to it from the throttlebody. What is this?

It rattles when u shake it so it must be broken, so i just unplugged it and put a joiner between the lines. Can i do this?

Do you have a fuel vapour canister ?
Either way that thing didn't come with the car only canister I can think of is the fuel vapour one that's normaly in drivers fender area

Certainly looks like a fuel vapour cannister. Is the factory one not up under the front bar? (behind drivers side fog light?)

Looks like the last owner relocated it. Do you still have the plastic liner in the wheel arch's?

Factory it should be up under the bumper. If not, she's been pranged & its been moved. Ghay.
