Overheating and losing water every 2 weeks cant find leak

Love your work. Been for a run in it yet? If you're missing power, pull up immediately & recheck that timing.

Tension souds fine, it should not be super tight, just tight enough that it wont jump a tooth.

mainly the boots and use a bit of electrical contact cleaner ot whatever on the plugs of the coil's make sure theres no corrosion

lol yeah i made it a bit harder 4 myself lol but yeah i will, but all the timing marks line up really good. the 2 cam gears closest to the firewall: the marks seem to be nearly in the middle of to teeth but slightly towards 1 tooth so i am using those 1's and motor runs really well but will have to take it for a drive

Good luck!! I remember when I changed my timing belt it was a lot easier!!

From experience, if you get the belt on, manually crank the engine and everything looks fine, it should be already when you start the engine.

Either a tooth out or it's a tensioner issue.

car going great and all back together except the top cover because im gonna get some electrical contact cleaner or somthing and go over all the electrical plugs in the car

no real drama's putting it back together just a few things pout on in the wrong order so they got taken off and put back on in the right order.

had it in the mivec rev range several times and everything runs as good as it did before

i think it was just the water pump gasket because the old 1 spun freely and made no noise, either way i replaced it

cams made some noise when first started but i think they just wernt getting oil and are fine now

Have a look on the underside of the old pump. There is a 3-4mm hole about halfway down the length of the shaft, if its got water stains coming from it, then it will have been the main seal in the pump thats let go. That's why the most common failure is.

Im currently doing the timing belt on my gpx at the moment,
Just wondering when tensioning the tensioner pully, do i turn to tension in the anticlockwise direction or the clockwise direction?

u hold the tensioner pulley up with some circlip pliers and do up the bolt as per normal for a right hand thread bolt, when its fairly tight tighten the bolt then u release the pin from the shaft of the tensioner and it puts a bit more pressure on it. (belt should be about as tight as an alternator belt but maybe a little looser if anything, my car hits 8k revs several times a day and hasnt missed a beat so i must have done it right.
