Track day with pulse racing.
Ok pulse racing is having a track day down at Wakefield park, if any one is interested you can find all the info on there site. Link to the site :- http://www.pulseracing.com.au/Events.htm
At this point of time I may be going, I just need to try to get time off work and see if I have the funds for it too.

Re: Track day with pulse racing.
I know
It will cost me around $1000 for one day on the track for this one. As I need to get two new back tyres = $270 each, fuel, track cost.

Re: Track day with pulse racing.
Well it was a super fun day today
Dry all day too.
Times well best recorded lap was a 1.17.3
I was going for a super fast lap on the last run but due to one of the cars dropping oil on the track I did not get to finish the lap. The footage will show the out come of that
I will post some up as soon as I can.
It will be good to see the times on the footage as I normally go of that and is shows that I run 1.16's with out trying
Oh well
I also have a good one of an evo 6 making it's own smoke screen right in front of me

Ok 2nd one.
This was the last run for the day so I gave it a bit of stick
Tyres and breaks started to go bad but hay you have to have some fun
2nd last lap is fun to see around the 5.50 area

Re: Track day with pulse racing.
Damn, just noticed this thread, need to check the NSW section more often. Nice driving there aza, right up to the 5:50 mark
Think u carried way too much throttle into the left hander without setting the car for the corner first, so the car was unbalanced going through the lefthander, but you might have got away with it except you lifted off as you switched back for the right hander and tried to correct, rather than keeping the fronts pointed where you wanted to go and just easing back the throttle a bit. Also generally I think you're not on the gas early enough out of the corners, with fwd u really need to drive it out
I'm hoping to be heading to Wakefield for a test before xmas, if not Jan, will let you know we'll have to go down together

Re: Track day with pulse racing.
I know what your saying Shane
I was turning into turns to soon not driving out hard, not using all the track .?
The back tyres where playing on my mined as they are not in the best of shape, also the cars that where out with me had 3x more power so I had no one to try and chace down ( motivation to drive harder
)
The evo 6 was running 380 at all 4
I need to get some coilovers in and some other bits then get out there again.
But saying all that you know some days where you want to be on the track but your just not giving it a 100% that is how I was that day

Re: Track day with pulse racing.
Haha, know what you mean, the 6hr relay I did at EC in 07 I had a throat infection, felt like sandpaper, didn't help my cabin was breathing fumes from the engine bay, then I developed a splitting headache.. was not my most enjoyable day at the track.
Also remember sometimes the track can be off. The day to day grip levels of the track itself can make a big difference to laptimes.
Also I just watched your vid again and re edited my comments. HTH
