Tried to do an oil change today and my bonnet wouldn't pop up lol
any other way to release the bonnet?

As far as I no the only way is pulling the cable
Have you tryed taking the pannal under stearing wheel off to make sure its still connected there either that or try locate the cable under the bonnet some how

if you dont got no mesh you can reach up through the bumper intake and open it...

Bend the little pipe nozzle the wd 40 cans have in the panel spacing towards the general area of the release latch.
Same thing happened to me but once the wd40 loosened it i chucked some silicon based lubucant all over the latch and it pops up everytime now.
