In an FTO mainly understeer, although it is possible to do the reverse

Oversteer is basically when your back wheels skid out, like drifting, although most people don't control it that well

in simple terms...

If you turn your steering wheel but the car keeps going straight, it's under-steer.

If you turn your steering wheel and the car decides to turn even more than you want it to (e.g. rear end slides out), it's over-steer.

oversteer - rear end starts to slide around
understeer - the car is not turning as much as it's supposed to at the corner

there are a few variables affecting under/oversteer but that's another story...
