rear ended.

Long story short just got rear ended in a merging lane, im not at fault, got a cop report(cop was really nice) and now waiting till monday to get a damage quote form panel beater.
next thing i will need to source new tailights (competently smashed), Veilside Spoiler(cracked), and a facelift rear bar (servely damaged ),i got his claim number to give to panel beaters, anyone got any advice on the things i should do??
, worst thing is his my one of my best mates.

Well, ive got the taillights. And you dont happen to like the rear bar in the group buy do you........... Because if you do, now is the time to do the swap.

    looking again... thats a very deep dent man...

    ive seen cars written off for similar

    what speed were u guys going???

    looks exactly like what happened to me.

    Around 3.5 to 4K damage I think.

    I have a rear bar in the garage if you want it. If I cant find someone to take it down to Dwayne and if its alright with Dwayne, its all yours.

    oh I know how you feel there :(
    I just went down that path not to long back.
    If the shop had to get all the parts to fix, work done and paint my one it would have come to about $7000
    Get a back bar of Dstocks :D I don't think any one would be worried if you grab the first one made.

    thanks guys, sucks this happened, but what can you do my mate made a mistake, and now he got fined and lost 3 points, and will have to pay excess ,
    the day my car 100% again i will be all good,
    oh dstocks if a can please have a pair of tailights how much do you want for them?
    im even considering your rear bar i will call you monday night, let you know whats going on,
    oh schumie i hope its not written off :( , the tow truck driver said it maybe due to its an import... i hope not its only the rear bar and tail lights and spoiler which is affected atm, oh and my mates car is a 2006 kia serato


    i will update everyone with what happens, hopefully i get a nice payout and can fix my car up aswell as bit left over to work on it.... sucks this has happened but not much i can do about it..

    i was barely going 5km/h in a merging lane waiting for a gap to go onto highway and he was going maybe 20km but was accelatring while he hit me.


    and bushido ill let you know after i get my quote and talk to my panel beater on monday.

    Nah, that wont be a writeoff (unless you had it insured for less than 7K). Should all be good. There is a fair bit of space behind the rear bar, so it should not have been pushed in too far. will send you a PM with my number again, just in case.

      minimal body damage, a few scratches, not sure about the engine though, wouldnt start which we think is due to the computer cutting out.
