not the safety ones there small as
on topic of safety cameras has any one seen the one on botany road corner of McEvoy if your on McEvoy trying to turn right towards mascot you cant make it befor the red light theres always to much traffic and theres no just right turn

on topic of being shot
if you saw a police officer doing the wrong thing and tryed to arrest him i can bet you he wont give up his gun baton cufs ect ect but by law you would have every right to arrest him and disarm him

if you saw anyone doing the wrong thing and tried to arrest them they would resist. If someone who wasnt a cop wanted to try to bust me for doing something illegal i would fight them. i think everyone would. self-defence isnt illegal

FYI: unless the person was physically threathening you cannot claim self defense. sorry.
you can be under arrest if you feel 'compelled' to follow instruction. couple of fun facts.

anyway, they can get you speeding in the opposite direction because as you said, they had a mounted RADAR. no radar, no case

You could probably get away if the cop has a hard time finding somewhere suitable to turn around.

Ie. travelling down the motorway in opposite directions, they can't exactly just turn around anywhere, they usually have to find a u-turn bay, or bit of grass they can crawl over to switch directions. If there's none around, they'll go looking and by the time they find somewhere you may have been long gone or slipped out at the nearest motorway exit. weird scenario huh?

You can arrest some one with or without force

And arresting some one is basicly taking away there freedom of movement weather that's putting them in a room or putting them in cufs

As for self defence
Hate to tell you but you can claime self defence on your self or others or even property ( and dosent just mean house means car or any thing ) if some ones smashing your car (not a crash ) but say a bat you have every right to deck them as long as you don't use any unnessary force ( such as kick them when there down )
Im no cop but I am a security officer and we have to know all this sh*t
And I've had run ins with a few losers over time

you dont have to use force to keep them in a room

eg: someone has done the wrong thing but they are compliant, therefore no force is being used by keeping them in a room. Loss prevention officers do it all the time, if someone shoplifts they can comply with a lawful order such as, follow me into this room. theres no force being used :)

if they have a bat- different story, it becomes assault with a weapon. i meant if you have a car accident and the person gets out of the car, you have no right to just go up to them and deck them if they havent done anything. thats what i meant by its not self defense. i use section 458 as well.

... pretty sure trying to execute a citizen’s arrest on a cop and then punching him in the face when he isn’t compliant is not going to go down well in court... presuming your still alive for court

Yea it wouldn't go down to well but as long as he broke the law and it was a arrestable afence dosent matter what you did as long as you followed the guild lines of making a arrest
But no one would be game to arrest a police officer and they look after each other so in a way there above the law
But the thing is there only above the law cause we let them be if every one just said no what are they going to do ( tell rta to f**k off im not paying the fine , if every one did it they can't do a thing if 1 person dose he gets fucked over )

This is kinda how i feel about all the safety cameras, speed cameras, red light cameras etc... there everywhere now. Everytime i ride to uni i feel like big brother is watching, as every second intersection seems to have some sort of a camera, with new ones poping up each week  . When do we say enough is enough?
