yeah my simota carbon box cost about $250 in a kit... but i had to buy it in a kit for a focus and just utilize what i could.
interesting how many people dont like them because theyre made in thailand...
i havnt had any problems with mine... lovving it acctually
K&N is a bit like wearing Nike's... good, but very common

just to add to this simota kit. the filter element is actually steel mesh. not paper, not foam.
filtration: questionable, i dont think its as good as K&N with paper or foam media.

ive had peeps say the actual filter separates from the case but no evidence, mine seems to be working great...
