Injectors?

Post by FTO-BOY »

Ok so just replaced the spark plugs, leads and fuel filter. The feels better but still feels like it's lacking power when I put my foot down. My mechanic said the injectors might need to be cleaned or changed. I bought injector cleaners. Whether or not they work I don't know! How much are new injectors? For a gpx

No need to replace them, get them pressure cleaned properly. All that cleaner fluid sh*t does is clog them up further.

Go find a garage thats go one of these bad boys:

No mate, you'd be surprised, its a very common thing. There are even mobile guys with that kit in their vans.

Just google "injector cleaning xxxxx" with xxxxx being your suburb.

Not bad I spose.

They're not that hard to pull out, although you do have to pop the manifold off again lol

Haha that was my next question. If I needed to get the manifold off. Lol

How do I take the injectors out?are they like spark plug where they unscrew with a socket? And after the manifold is out how east do they come out?

Even better!

Just pop the manifold off, then unbolt the fuel rail. The injectors will just pop off the rail, then just pull them out of the lower section of manfilod. They're not screwed in.
