Are you kidding? 24 ports are heaps expensive! You're looking at $400 or more. Its cheaper to cascade 3 el-cheapo 8 porters. Only reason I ended up with a 24 porter was compliments of work!

well I am planning on running cat6 to 8 points in the house (one to each of the main rooms of the house) and then I suppose I connect the modem, phone and a pc to it and meeting point (study)....???

Haha, have you ever seen 'network' diagrams? All these generic icons that are supposed to represent PCs or phones all connected up via lightning bolts to a cloud
