Bonfire Weekend 3rd October

Post by dstocks »

Alrighty, I have a problem. With all the trees that have come down, I need to get rid of the timber.

And what better way to get rid of it than to hold another bonfire (albeit at short notice). There just happens to be a long weekend at the start of October (2nd, 3rd and 4th) and I have just talked to the local fire chief and can get a permit for that weekend.

Some people have offered to help me clean up this weekend, and I honestly could use the help. I want to say thanks though, so I will put on a keg for the night of the bonfire.

For those of you that havent made it to one of the previous bonfires at my place, im about 3hrs south of Sydney. Weve been averaging around 20 cars each time it has been held (although I dont expect this many at short notice). Will send out maps closer to the date and hope to see you there.

So put your name down if you are interested and well see what sort of turnout we can get. EVERYONE IS WELCOME, as long as you are a club member....

Oh, and I will still be holding the annual bonfire in April as well (around the 9th) so if you cant make it, dont worry, in 6 months there will be another.

Some of the trees that came down have been dead for some time, so that wont be a problem. Once its going, I can feed some of the greener stuff on to get rid of it as well. Just chuck your name down if you can make it.

Have spoken with Bennoz and he can make it

If I'm going this weekend it will be because someone has 2 spare seats in their car.
My cars aren't going anywhere as they all have various faults which I'm slowly fixing

Meanwhile, next to positive I'm going down the October weekend, provided I fix this leak
