Just recently I have noticed that when my car is cold, it has a hesitation between about 1.3-1.6k revs.(actually I have no idea when it is...but definitely low in the rev range)
It's really hard to describe, but at a linear throttle input, there is momentarily no response before it just suddenly all comes back with a bit of a sudden gush. It is noticeable in the exhaust note, and would appear to the outside as though I have just made had a really sharp jab at the throttle, which I haven't.
Any suggestions on what might be causing this?
It was serviced quite recently so should have fresh fluids etc.

Throttle position sensor.
The hesitation could be any number of things. Anything ftom leads/plugs to fuel filter. When was your last service and what was done?

CHRISTIANITY: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Re: Hesitation in acceleration
Thought I would update this and let people know that the issue appears to have been the fuel filter. I tried everything to replicate the problem this morning but not a sign of it anymore. The car feels so much smoother I wonder how I ever got used to it.
Other symptoms were when I was in gear with my foot off the throttle slowly (and I mean rather slowly) going down a slope, the car would not always continue smoothly and would sometimes hold up almost as though I was applying the brakes or the A/C had kicked in.
Doing the same thing today on the way home from work it accelerates and decelerates smoothly exactly as you would expect.
