Been thinking if I need a replacement, where do I go get them?
They are for the low beam headlights.
Also, are there different types of Hb4 globe designs?
Mine has a L-shaped rigid attachment to the globe.
Noticed on Ebay, most are just wires after the globe part. No L-shaped rigid attachment.
The small print on the hb4 globe attachment states: Vestec hb4 12v 55w hid-r b656

yeap, went to have a look, a few hours after posting. But range seems to be very limited, for the HB4, or, well, at least the one I went to.
Price wasn't fantastic either. Ebay seems like 40% cheaper.
Still considering if I should buy a pair as spares.

Bursons,
Got some phillips rally spec lights.
Can't remember which bulbs were which, but my original high beams were 60w - now 100w and my low beam were 51w now 70w.
Total cost $88

Did you upgrade the wiring and relays to get the higher wattage bulbs?
Not too keen to blind incoming vehicles either, if they are that bright.

Nope, direct change over, not sodding around.
AFrom the headlights, they are still not as bright as i would want, but much better than the originals. Also not actually blinding to other drivers, not had anyone flash me yet to complain.

If you have your headlights adjusted right there shouldn't ever be a problem with blind oncoming traffic.

Oh, you can still blind oncoming peeps, especially if you are coming over the hill or going over a bump.
Got them in my eyes so many times, especially from the newer cars/4wds.

Ehm... High beam = HB3?payaya wrote:HB4 low, HB5 high beam, every car store stocks them.
anyway, just go to some autostore.. don't worry about it having too much wattage as we have projector headlights which point the light on the road, not on oncoming traffic.
