There are some great ideas here, but I'll have to be the party-pooper. As someone earlier mentioned, it is against the law to place flyers on car windscreens. I recently had a run in with the Litter Act and here's what I unearthed:

LITTER ACT 1987 - SECT 6B
Unsolicited leaflets not to be placed on vehicles

6B. Unsolicited leaflets not to be placed on vehicles

(1) A person must not deposit any advertising material in or on any vehicle.

Penalty: 5 penalty units.

(2) This section does not apply to the deposit of any material by a person
exercising a power given to him or her by any law.
So either don't get caught or have someone give us the power to do it

The idea of that law is to stop people mass-marketing in car parks etc. as most of the drivers would get back to their cars and throw the leaflets on the ground creating lots of litter and mess.

Given that you'll probably only be putting it under 1 windscreen and not the whole car park, this shouldn't be an issue. There will also be many times when you'll be giving them to people in person, so it won't be left on their windscreen.

We can also easily change the flyer to make it more personal, this way it would be a "note" from the person handing it out, and not officially "advertising" material from the club.

Something like: "Hi, I see you drive an FTO too, have you heard about FTOAustralia.com, from [insert name]".

**lets get this party started**

Hey guys! I once again saw a couple of fto's parked where I always park, in Star City Casino carpark and found myself thinking about how much I wish I had an fto club flyer to put on their cars.

Given that it is likely that they are already active members.. but hey, you never know and there can never be enough members right - the more, the better!!!

Was just wondering how this whole flyer was coming along... any possibility of getting some printed so that we can start leaving them on cars. I want all fto owners to know about our club, so that it will continue to grow bigger & bigger!!

We're all waiting on Steve as apparently he is coming up with new wording and likewise he will need to approve anything that will represent the club publicly.

Don't hold you're breath, it's been around 2 months since people submitted various contributions and nothing has happened since then.

We if you put up a post on "Spotted" section, you might find out if they are active or not.
