Are we talking about the rubber the glass closes against, or the plastic/metal bit above it?. Both pretty easy to remove. Pull the rubber bit out and there are screws underneath that allow you to get the other bit out. You have to sort of twist the rubber bit to get it back in.
Oh and I have both those bits. Not sure of condition, bit have more than one of each.
well, if u can see, its the rubber plastic thing that is coming out, making theres a hole from the side of the roof? i just want to make it so the seal of it is back in place
edit - yes the plastic metal thing above it, which is like the frame on the roof for the side
Actually, there is nothing wrong with it, there is always a gap at the back. I think its so that dirt and leaves dont get caught in there and rust out the roof gutter.
really? theres always a gap? like that big on the pic? T.T i thought its due to age, the thing is coming off, i thought its stuck in the whole way? even your car has a gap too dstock?
Yeah as Dstocks said there is supposed to be a gap there. I posted the same question up before Edii so there is actually nothing wrong with it. Mine is pretty wide too so you shouldnt worry about it.
Dstocks - If possible could you help me check the condition of it? Mine is pretty worn out already and I was planning on changing it. How much you looking for? Cheers man
Dstocks if you have a drivers side metal piece that is in good nick (no scratches and good paint) I'd be interested in getting one too. Let me know how much?
My passenger side one was fairly perished and showing chrome when I got the car but I couldn't find a replacement at the time. I ended up buying some rubber coating in a can called 'Plastidip'. After covering half my car in newspaper and masking tape (didn't realise it was so easy to remove lol), I sprayed the strip with a few coats. Came up great - doesn't match the texture of the drivers side exactly but it's close enough; a nice matte black.
