Re: pre-tapped steel
the nut is in the wing(or maybe the nut bought the wing?), the wing is mounted to the skin of the car only and i wanna put a brace in behind the structure of the rear door to give it a bit more ridgidity (so the wind doesnt rip off the wing at 100k's), so i need some threaded steel i can screw into the wing, then a nut on the skin as is, and a longer bit to bolt it to the brace...
make sence? AZA knows what i mean, ill put pics up when i get home...
anyway, do u know where i can get some? maybe bunnings?
i need prob only 2 in about 10cm length
also need some black, thick 3m foam pads, about 20cm square and about 1cm thick.... all i can find is tape :s
edit: oh i got ya

Re: pre-tapped steel

For the steel, Im pretty sure Pete's got some threaded hex lengths down at Suzitech, normally used to cut wheel nuts from, but would serve the same purpose, otherwise try a steel supplier like Blackwoods: http://www2.blackwoods.com.au/infoBANK. ... &S=4084749
For the foam, go to Clark rubber!

You can get thread rod from any bearing joint. Try BSC bearings or CBC. I buy from there all the time.

You'd simply better be wise and not risk the thing.
Car wasn't meant to do 100
more so.
Unsure of the steele, but yes as Bennoz said, Clark rubber for the foam.
