Unichip

Post by FknTopOne »

Unichip 'type A' I purchased this from Dstocks approximately 18 months ago, after which it has sat in bubble-wrap in a drawer.

I've read claims that it will provide with a 15Kw increase and will also de-limit the factory speed restriction.

There's plenty of threads out there on this one, so feel free to do your research.

If I remember Dstocks sold it to me for $300. I've always found his pricing exceptionally bargain basement. So at $250 this is huge bang for your buck.

Please PM if interested

I might consider this as my intake/exhaust mods are now complete but i will be getting suggestions and opinions from other members to see if this is good enough compared to maybe a haltech interceptor.

I had one of them on my old GR motor (may well have even been this one lol, its been passed around a like a doobie.)

Got 10 killerwasps from it.

You'll get more from a Haltech Interceptor thou, but you'll pay twice the price.

I'll give you the pros & cons

Pros:
- its cheap... real cheap
- you'll get your 10kws
- install & tune will only be about $500

Cons:
- there are a limited number of people who have the licence & gear to tune them
- Its an older device, the mapping points are considered 'coarse', aka fewer of them, therefore you won't be able to drag every last inch of power out.

The Haltech will cost you closer to a grand, plus $500 for fit & tune. With that you'll get 15, maybe more killerwasps out of it.

Its up to your wallet really....
