loose on road

over the last 3-4 weeks my car has felt a bit "loose" on the road, would this mean its time to change some bushes maybe?

also, there seems to be a bit of a dead zone from when i put my foot on the go fast pedal to when the engine starts working, would this be something to do with TPS?

could be anything from droplinks/ swaybar bushes to control arms etc or may just need a wheel alignment.....

have you changed fuel or air filter recently even plugs etc may be cause of sluggishness or possibly engine mounts which could relate to both your issues

amacha was saying it hasn't been tuned since CAI was installed, might go out and get a dyno + tune then see how it goes.

pedders do some special down here, 27 point for $19 i think, could be worth doing, see what it could be.

Yeah just DONT LET THEM DO ANY WORK they have a poor rep for a reason but they should at least be able to point out any probs even ones that you dont even have Are you getting any knocking/clunking sounds or feeling via foot pedals?

most likely if not changed previously the following will be stuffed

control arm bushes
strut tower tops
shocks
sway bar bushes
link pins
engine mounts and most likely same in rear

i seems to have the similar problem.
my shocks/suspensions making squeaky sound whenever i went over a bump,
and i can feel something hits on the footrest when driving over a pothole/uneven surface.

That'll be worn droplinks & shot roll bar bushes.

can u please get a dyno run from GT Garage in derwent park? Nick is really good and knows his sh*t.
plus i wanna see what yours will get compared to mine on the same dyno...

They have no idea down here. i went there for one didnt even do it properly.
and they even forgot to ask me to pay. but what they said i needed doing was wrong.

went to bridgestone and saw scott on argyle st and theyll tell you exactly whats up.

how much does nick charge? i think i've got a few more problems in the engine somewhere too.... checked oil before i left work (just under full) checked it when i was about to leave for 8 ball tonight (trying to monitor something) and it was barely above empty... didn't hear anything blow, just lost a sh*t load of oil in 30 mins of driving.

$100 for 3 dyno runs. he could do quick tuning on it as well.

that just sounds like you got the car running or just started it.

best to check it when cold. or after like 5-10 mins once off to allow all the oil to collect in the sump again

btw which mechanic you going to?

Same on my car, the steering seems a bit loose for the first few MM's and it's easy to lose control. What would be best to replace?

see my above post also if your getting a knock or lots of play in steering wheel prob need to do tie rods/ends and maybe rac

considering the age of these cars now stuff like this will start happening

I had one of my tires (that went flat) fixed and aligned to my wheel today. It fixes the entire loose issue and it doesn't sway to the left anymore

I'd definitely recommend getting your tires aligned and checked out
