DIY & TO DO list

Post by Sophia »

I keep starting new posts for things I want to do and Im getting lost amoungst them all, so Im putting it all into one :)
These are the things I want to do at the DIY in Toowoomba or get done before then.

- Front bar, will be getting mine modified instead of a new one so I need to know what bracket you guys found was broken behind my fog light so I can get that fixed too
- Rear bar
- Stereo, have arragned that with pete just need to get a date, anyone that wants to tag along on the day feel free :)
- Respray door trims
- Re tint tail lights and indicators, I will be ordering more Night Shade offline and if anyone wants some let me know and Ill get it
- Brighter headlights, what bulbs do I need to buy and where from?
- Pull my headlights apart and clean the inside of the glass, somehow of gotten very very grubby :|
- Re wire my halos
- Secure my fog lights back in
- Sand and Spray my wipers black
- Put my new wheels on, when I get them
- Find out why my car squeeks like crazy when I have weight in the back

Thats it so far, hopefully Ill be able to keep track of all the advice you guys give me now :P

- With that bracket, or the thing you screw the fog light into, when your getting the bar modified just get the bodyshop to re-allign where the screw goes in, because i'm preety sure that was what was wrong..
- You can get nightshade from autobarn
- Brighter headlights - HID's, ebay or some autoshops - leave this for now, we might have a GB coming up if we get enough interest.
- Re-wire your halos - Not sure what they sourced the problem to be - ask yang!
- wheels, well you don't need us... anyone can do that.

I bought bulbs from Bursons, both HB4 and HB3, the orignial ones i had in were 55w and 61w respectively and ive now changed them to 70w and 100w. They were made by phillips and were 'rally' spec and apparantly illegal on roads.

But they are not as bright as HID's and prob as bright as most new cars. Ive not been stopped and no one has complained yet. Well worth it for $88

So my hopes are looking pretty dull to find someone in hervey bay that will cut my front bar up :(
So how much work needs to go into changing from prefacelift ----> facelift :)
