Im on the carmate site at the moment and I interested in the JT Style Front Bar but just wondering, does anyone know if this will fit my car???? Its a 94 GPX
Also, has anyone bought off them online before? Just looking to see if they are as good as they suggest
ive bought sideskirts and a spoiler from carmate which both fit fine... a front bar is harder to make perfect however
as for customer service they are horrible, if your bumper does not fit and u want to return it they hit you with a 15% re-stocking fee
from memory though i remember another forum member inquiring about that front bar and carmate told them they dont stock them or dont make them anymore dont quote me on this though
I think most fibreglass bars from carmate are always going to be at least a little bit off unless you get really lucky they will never be a perfect fit. But if you find a decent panel beater I'm pretty sure with a bit of work he could make it fit and look decent. If I were you I'd probably just try look for a second hand factory bar as they are always going to be perfect fit (there will be no gaps between your bonnet and bar) and they are much stronger. But if I remember correctly Sophia you're in QLD right? If you definitely want an aftermarket style bar you should probably try "DMD The Image" instead, a lot of people on the forums say the quality is much better then carmate (I think their website is pretty bad though lol)
I had sideskirts off them and an awesome panel beater.. He couldn't make them fit...
And didn't want to put his name to them.... Luckily I got them thru UAS, who got them off Carmate.. So got full refund when the panel shop spoke to em...
I just had to add it ......

CHRISTIANITY: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...
Lol, rebeccas veilside front, that she thought i stole off her haha was from carmate, it took the panel beater like 4 hours to get it on straight and look decent and its only 80% i reckon.
They don't fit .. I found out first hand ... There are a few posts about it .. But long story short, the only way to make them fit was going to be chop them up, put on the car and re-join ...

Would be good to know the exact amount as the panel beaters will be asking at least $200 to fix the damage on the panel work at the back, realigning the taillights and boot. each bumper from carmate will be at least $500 each then another $250 to $300 for prepping, painting and fitting each bumper. so in total that works out to be approximately $1800.
Its probably best to just keep your front bar and get it repaired + sprayed at a later date and just get the rear end fixed + plus you wont be without a car for long.
Alone for the back i would say including the price of the rear bumper it would be around $1000.
