This is the sub as it sits behind the strut brace. It's a Kicker TCVT124:
From another angle. Note that although the carpet colour looks seriously mismatched, it looks a lot worse in the photo. I think it looks fine in the flesh, and I can be picky about that sort of stuff lol:
You can see from this photo (sorta) that it doesn't actually sit wedged under the 6x9 magnets (didn't realise that until I took the picture). But you definitely need to force it in initially to get it under the magnets.
This shows the amp sitting next to the sub. It's a pretty tight fit but has the advantage of keeping everything audio-wise behind the strut brace, therefore keeping the boot useable:

Finally, a pic showing the amp wiring going through the floor. I reckon it's pretty neat, so I'm happy with it. This also explains why I went with new MDF boot floor and new carpet - cos I didn't wanna cut holes in the stock parts (first rookie error in car audio)
