Drags last night
Went to the drags last night and had a great time came 4th in the dial in racing. The car has finally starting to come good and the traction is starting to get better. Started off with a 14.5 at 98mph and my last run of the night I got a pb of 14.00. I was kinda pissed off because I really wanted to break into the 13s last night. Their is one more drag racing day in June so I hope I have some more stuff on the car buy then to get into the 13s

Good job on the times mate
I need to do a run to see what I get, but it's just a little boring for me not having any turns just a strait line
One day I will lol.

Nah man I put my 17s back on. The 60ft times were around 2.000 so yeah I really need to get them down this is because I don't get traction. I drive through the torque steer and Wheelspin and keep the foot flat

Re: Drags last night
Mitch, get some standard 16's and put about 10-15 psi into them for traction; I did that and dropped over a second; traction is your problem. I went from a 15.2 on my first run to a 15.0 on my second both with my 18's, then I switched wheels and removed most of the air and hit a 13.9
Being manual you have to be careful with not screwing up the shifting too; my tip made it so consistent once I got down to the 13.8's and had it sorted, 4 in a row.
(all that before my piping upgrades)
BTW mate, feather your accelerator, no point in foot flat driving

Re: Drags last night
This is a good idea, even if you managed to find some GTS-T rims. And they don't necessarily *need to be* 16's, but I like them with a nice fat profile tyre... you want that warping in the side wall which is the point tbqhsilverGPX wrote:I think petes selling his white Nissan GTR Rims soon they are 16" personally think they look good white on red.

Re: Drags last night
Torque steer so you dont have an lsd? That would reduce tiems by about half a sec or a few tenths too. I have 17s but i can still get a 2.1sec 60' (launching at 5.5) this is a good time apparently for non slick tyres on a fwd car. I think tis something like 1.9 - 2.0 with slicks.
