so has anyone actually replaced their hid bulbs yet ? i heard that you need to replace the whole unit including the ballasts, ollie is having problems with one of his lights and being able to replace just the bulb would obviously be better than the whole kit. I havnt tried replacing the bulbs yet as my hid's are in perfect working order and i dont want to stuff something up on account of itch

what bulb are you using cause ive had some issues getting the right ones
Replacement bulbs, what size are they?
Low Beam: HB4 51W
Low Beam (HID): D2S (D2C also compatible)
High Beam: HB3 60W
Front foglights (Series 1): H3 55W
Front foglights (Series 2): H3 55W
Front indicators: S-25mm 21W
Side indicators: T-10mm 5W

m lows are 9006 ( but the the same as the hb3 in my highs ) ive worked out D2C dosent fit to well and h4 9006 dosent fit ( way to big ) so im up to bout $120 with bulbs that dont fit

If it's the DS2 (HID) you only need to replace the bulb.

Handy thing is that Volkswagen use the exact same bulb for a model so if you live near a dealer you could try them for a replacement.

dont the fto's use D2S ? my bulbs are fine, but i have no idea what they are as they seem like the factory ones. isnt 9006 different from D2S or something ? HB3 is the bulb shape/size and D2S is the socket type i think.. correct if wrong ?

maybe when it comes to standard lights, its 9006/hb4(lows) and for factory HID fto's, its D2S..
