[whoops]
- Eddiii, it does come with japanese instructions, got a bit of tips from ben(thanks ben), and although i cant read jap(yet?) i looked at the drawings and matched it to real life as best as i could. it wasnt too tough a job but not easy either, at least for the first time having a go at it.
be very very careful with the centre console, i cracked mine a little bit!

from everything i've heard, these are better than the RPW ones .. and the company that makes them specialises in short shifter kits for all different makes of cars..
hope that answers your question, BTW RPW only modifies your old shifter and you need to send your old one back, so this GB is cheaper & you get to keep your old shifter as well (as far as that matters)

how much will this be diff from the stock shifter i read some where it will be easyer to go from 2nd to 3rd directly with out having to return to centre ,will this be a easyer shift to use

Re: EOI - C's Short Shifter Group Buy
i reckon u will need a little more arm strength, given that the length of shifter is shortened.
I really hope it can shift as short as S2000, or maybe close. S2000 shifting is like half the travel of FTO! How quick is that!

We're actually only up to 8 so far, we missed a number there.. 2 more for the cheaper price.
Yes, it will be easier to go from 2nd to 3rd, it would be more like a diagonal movement than a zig zag (up/across/up) movement as far as I have heard - someone with one fitted may confirm..

Re: EOI - C's Short Shifter Group Buy
shifting is tighter on these, which feels great, oh , and on the stock shifter, i just push the shifter from 2nd to 3rd up in one motion with my palm but in a way that i dont mistakenly hit that awkward bit in between 1st & 3rd, but yeah it is easier from 2nd to 3rd, but not significantly easier than the stock shifter imo, but just enough that you know it is...

Re: EOI - C's Short Shifter Group Buy
Guys, you've got to understand, the mechanics of how the shifter goes from gear to gear does not change. The assembly & linkages the shifter operates with are the same, you are only swapping out the stick.
The difference with this shifter is that they've altered the pivot point of the stick. Ie, the rotation point (the ball if you will) is higher (with the use of a spacer plate,) the lower connection to the linkage is longer, and the length of the top of the stick is shorter. So effectively, the stick dimesions are the same. It loks the same, it just is able to change gears by physically being moved less distance than the factory shifter. Ie, if you had to move the stick a total distance of 2 inches to get into 1st, it will now be 1 inch etc.

Re: EOI - C's Short Shifter Group Buy
ok so would it make it harder to change like tighter or smoother gear changes gess if dont like how it changes i can always resell it moving the pivet means shorter but wouldnt that make it harder ( like a seasaw is even but if you moved the plank a metre one way the shorter side would be hard to move then the longer ) dont mind me im just confusing my self

It still shifts the same as the stock one just shorter.

Re: EOI - C's Short Shifter Group Buy
all there is to it is what ben said, its all about altering the geometry of the shifter, physically, its the same length, but shift stroke wise, its shorter, try it out, what ben said, with a pen or a stick, and you'll understand it
