Where abouts did that person go to get that price for the rust removal? And was it a good job? All of it gone?
If you cant find another 2nd hand 5 speed tip just get your current one reconditioned ,2k imo is a good price to pay,or it could even just be the torque converter thats stuffed.As for your roof rust if you do some of the prep work yourself eg remove headlining grind cut out rust rustkill primer etc the cost to weld it up and paint it should be a lot less.The fto on carsales looks to good to be true like nearly all ftos in that price range.

I found a wreckers that has a couple incl. 5spd. They quoted $600 for the box and if I want them to install it, an extra $500.

Too dark to do it now so tomorrow I'll take some pics of the roof rust and post em up so you guys can assess how bad it is compared to others. I'm guessing mine has a shot at the trophy, lol.

Check cjam's thread in the for sales, he has a tip box, not sure if 4 or 5 sp, is a GPX.

Where in the roof do these rust? Anyone got pics? Better go check mine...
