OK there is a speed of the street day on the Thursday 20/05/2010. (its the only open day at this time for May)
So I was thinking about looking at numbers of members that may be interested.
If we get a good list we can go for it (good list being 3-5 cars )
Put me down as a maybe for now, its towards the end of my semester and I may have some major assessments due around then, would it be possible to push it to mid-june or july?
I will also be checking out Marulan Driver Training Centre to see what its like as there seems to be more open days there.
So I will keep you all posted on that.
oooh driver training centre, but its soo far!! I have a suggestion, next years bonfire, lets have this the day before, so then we can head straight to dwaynes... sounds like a year-long plan already
97 GPX Icelle Blue

FTO[For The Orgasm]
like For The Win!, but more hardcore...
Ive been meaning to line up a track day in conjunction with the bonfire, but just dont have the time to organise both im afraid. I may be able to line up a driving instructor though. Rob a friend of mine has been a driving instructor in the past and has raced at Bathurst and is quite a few rallys, so I could see what I could swing.....
Ok I have got the day off work for this so I am 100% going
One thing I do have to do befor then is put new break pads on the car as I think I will only last 1/2 a day if that with the ones I have on now
I will update and add all the info needed when I get home tonight, cost, maps and times ......
Wakefield Park also offers Speed off the Street Days, where road-registered street cars and bikes can run on the circuit for a small fee. Drivers/Riders can learn how their vehicle can really perform, in order to better understand how to control their vehicle on the road.
Just bring yourself and your street car and for just $110 per day (week days) you can experience what it's like to Drive around a race track. Drivers need to wear appropriate attire:
• Approved road use helmet (also available for hire at track)
• Neck-to-wrist-to-ankle clothing protection (could be long sleeve shirt and long pants)
• Closed in shoes (cover ankle to toe)
During the lunch break at some of our Speed off the Street Days, the V8 Challenge cars are available for Drives or Rides to anyone wanting to experience a Drive or Ride in a V8 Racecar.
