Bouncing/Rattling Car

Post by joshfto »

My car has become really bouncy lately. Slightly bumpy roads and my cars jumping all over the place. And there is a lot of rattles too. Not exactly sure where they come from but theres nothing in the boot. Anyone have any ideas what the problem may be?

worn shock absorbers can cause a bouncy ride.

Take it to pedders and get one of those suspension check things.

Just a couple of ideas on the rattles, could b your window guides especially if it rattles more when their down, theres some posts in the forums about replacing them just do a search!

Also could b as simple as your seatbelts knocking on the rear panels!!

But id also take it and get it checked out just to b safe!!

If not your suspension, have you changed your tyres recently or have you altered the pressure of them?

Another thing which rattles and is a bugger to isolate is the rod that holds the bonnet up. This rattles against the car body, but an easy fix is to use a felt chair stopper to cushion it and the noise stops.

Hi, how do we solve the window rattling problem?

Mine quite noisy at times.

Tried a search, but nothing comes up. Is the search working anyway?

Cheers.
