Mitsu need a new FTO

Post by Astron_Boy »

And one that we can import, or will be offered local.

The new RVR or atleast some sort of car with an RVR badge is set here soon. it was a revival from 2002, around the same time that the end of the FTO hit.

Near a decade and Mitsu has made some pretty drab cars since IMO.

The new Lancer is a compact Magna as the Magna/ 380 are dead.
Colt is to small and tall, and only offers turbo for something fun.
EVO is to big and to expensive, and from a sporty perspective is a Lancer in drag after all.

The Eclipse whilst a lot of people will say it was the successor, I certainly dont, and we don't have it here.

I say bring back the proper MIVEC with a new awesomely curvy body like we all love.

Hoondas had their lime light for to long and need a peg removed.

Thoughts?

I like FWD, and AWD, I don't think they would, unless the car was not turbo so it didnt detract from the EVO to much.

But in the end, they made the GTO and AWD Magna, in their days, they could whip an EVO if worked well.

The looks on the FTO is a very tricky one, as the FTO is iconic in its own right.

We wouldnt want a Ford Mustang occurance where it gets older and fatter.

a lot more stringent laws have been brought in since the days of the FTOs creation, but Mitsu can still build one hell of an engine despite the emissions restriction crap.

It seems the whole era of 90's Japanese cars are dead. Today they are either overpriced or family cars.

No more Supra's, Skylines, FTO's, RX7 etc..

You can import them but the cost is 2-5k i think.

I think the eclipse is the successor looks wise (2006) and that is half the package i think the other half is revs, but i think mitsu took the opinion that high revs equals hooning so went for a laid back 3l with about the same power, which i think is not a bad way to go considering max power output. What you think is great right now might not be the same as what the aging bosses at mitsu might think. But highrevs might come back in fashion.

That double shotz concept eats children.
