Yup the carrera GT, IS my favourite car in the world. If I caould pick any car it would be it. Have you heard the sound those things make...... PURE SEX
CHRISTIANITY: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Small or big port? 20V or 16V? the TRD N2 levin is the best sounding AE86.

Although the japs make nice cars, it really does take modifications to induce that "spine tingling pants creaming" effect that some euros have.

From personal experience when I drove a DB9 for the first time I couldnt stop giggling, felt like I was high and had cold chills every millisecond I sat in its beautiful interior. And thats even before I started the bugger. The R8 is the same. The gallardo is on a whole different level..

Have driven numerous jdm cars (modified and stock) and nothing can match that feeling as above. Sure they are fast and have some interesting technology but they are just clinically boring. That one midnight purple R34 was different. Sure euros are fast but this was UUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNBEILVABLLEYYYYYYYY fast. Until I couldnt figure out how to enagge reverse. But the point of my rant is that in a Euro you dont have to be going fast to enjoy driving, The passion, the engineering the way you feel
cant be matched in any JDM. tuned or not..

just my 2c

+1

although I'd like to point out "what happens to the passenger's head if you flip?"
"they're not paying for the fuel, f them"

actually wouldn't that be great? to have removable safety gear depending on how much you like the passenger/s. lol (I know I've had ppl in my car that I'd remove the floor for - "you're not paying for fuel, u fat bastard, flintstone this sh*t!")

Also +1 for the cobra.

And the modern ford GT is a glorified F150 lightning in a svelte body.

1967 GT40 with 180 degree headers, Now thats a ford worth creaming over..

sure but the fact they they managed to squeeze out over 500hp from a f150 pickup engine is quite remarkable (probably just slapped on those superchargers though  )

If it wasn't for the knock offs then there would be a damn sh*t load less of them around I can tell you. My long term automotive plan is to build a replica, so many ideas floating around my head, but I have given myself until I am 40, that's 10 years, plenty of time haha.

I keep thinking to myself that I should stay true to the marquee and use a 427 Ford engine, but then I remember how much I dislike Ford reliability (and don't get on your high horse, my company writes software for Ford NZ and I see first hand all of the recalls etc). What does that leave me with?

Try to find an Aston Martin Vanquish engine (V8 twin supercharged/intercooled)? But that's probably bloody ford too haha.
Toyota/Nissan V8 with twin GT35/40R turbos? Fk the marquee? it's all about the powa biches?
BMW/Merc V8? Damn tempting, but it will put a sizable dent in my pocket
Old skool Jaguar V12 with some intensive modifications? Don't think I haven't been tempted.
Stick with the marquee and bite my tongue, get a 427 and SC that SOB?

What engine would you guys put into a Cobra replica. And before any of you punks think to say ROTANG!!! I will get this out of the way now...
