My New Coilovers ~Advice

Hey all these are the new coilovers i got...im pretty happy with them....i sitll can't work out what model they are and does anyone know ho you work out if htere 10 way or 16 way etc? Can you guys tell if these are dapening adjustable, also is it correct that there are only two red locking things at the bottom?

Two red rings are normal one windes the spring up or down and the other locks it in place.

They dont look to be damper adjustalble though

These are made by a company called JIC

From those pictures they don't have dampener adjustability. If they did they would have a knob in the strut tower part (the hex bolt thing) to allow you to turn them left or right. The 10 way/ 16 ways refers to the dampener adjustability.

The two locking pins at the bottom is for adjusting the coilover height.

hmm ok i see and can someone explain to me the camber plate at the top how you read/adjust it

you loosen the allen key bolts and then it slides on the plates to adjust camber. But you need to get done via proper alignment as you cant tell readings just by looking at it and will adjust your toe dramatically when changing camber. If you know what your doing with a tape measure then do it yourself..... but once installed easier to just pay the 50 odd dollars and get it aligned properly

hmmm ok i see......when i look at al other coilovers they have a third red thing at the very bottom of the coilvoer what is that for?
Also do you need the ool to adjsut them or can it be done by hand..

Always ensure you get a wheel alignment after fitting/adjusting them. Yes, it *IS* important

tool makes it lots easier hopefully you got it with it? but you can always improvise

Just make sure they are tight with a small block of wood and a hammer. Then when you have installed them and taken them to get a wheel alignment get them to tight them up, they will have the tools there
