turbo still available, i believe.

Post by Brandto »

Hi all, I believe the turbo system is still available and is already off the car, it includes all pipes and plumbing and valves, etc, (possibly intercooler, not sure) and a similar ready to bolt-on kit in the UK for FTOs is selling for equivalet of $13,000 Aust. Plus freight halfway around the world.

My son's job takes him away for a few days at a time but he is due home in next day or two and is currently happy to take serious PM inquiries. His FTO Australia.com member name SSKILR (as in, SS Killer) so please contact him.

He told me tonight he will answer all inquiries.

Cheers, Brandt

Hey mate pm sent!

yes but 13,000 is for a brand new kit im sure and for that kind of money you would get forged internals and a turbo kit locally in aus.

You cant compare the kit from UK to anything here.

P.S. I can supply a brand new turbo kit ready for install for 7K.

Kit price

Post by Brandto »

Yes, you're all totally right, i reckon this one will go for just a couple of Gs, if that 8O . but hey, its like lots of things in life . . . it's worth whatever anyone is will to pay, it just depends on how badly someone wants something, I guess. I just wish I had a few spare Gs to stick it in my car or better still, a few more extra Gs to get a new one.

Apparently the mechanic who professionally removed it had checked it out and it had been over the pits as well.

SSKILR can tell you more.

Personally, I'd always go new if I could afford it . . . but second-hand is better than nothing just as long as you don't get (a) ripped off, or (b) if its worn out.

The dag sold the complete system to a mechanic mate for just $1,500 and didn't bother contacting anyone from the club, though I think my son had commited to this guy before word got out about the turbo being available. Karma came through . . . six weeks later he put his beautiful burgundy GPX into a ditch near Yarra Glen and wrote it off  Bloody teenage boys. Now he drives a Honda Prelude, poor soul.

Main thing is he's alright yea turbos are rare for the fto a lot of work goes into making them and a lot of money
Well there's one less fto out there now but more parts now I guess
Lets just hope he learns from crashing the first car
