Just a Question
Is it true no matter what you do that the v6 engine of the fto will always have a oil leak? because i just got a engine rebuild just recently and the mechanic guy is like no matter what all v6's tend to have a oil leak. So he said it will last about 3 to 4 years before i get the same problem again.

When your engine seals are doing their job then i dont see why your engine should leak. Of course, over time seals will wear and you'll blow a gasket, then it is expected to loose a little oil. A little preventative maintenance will usually prevent oil leaks. ie, changing all engine seals and gaskets at a major service where the engine is worked on.

I think he is referring to the angle that "V" engines lay on...... BUT HE IS STILL WRONG.
If you have a leak replace the seal, if done correctly leak gone.... and most seals will last way longer than 3-4 years

Mine had some small leaks when I bought it 5 years ago. Replaced the half moon seals and rocker cover gaskets and have been completing leak free ever since.I8A4RE wrote:Mines 94 and now turbo'ed and I have nevr had a drop of oil on the floor.
