Is it doing it when its warm and cold ot just when its cold?

Could be the stepper needing a clean or nearing the end of its life.

is this item standard over all FTOs?
I had the same problem last night, engine just stalls after i turn the keys. Until i have to regulate the throttle for a few minutes and then it works.

I bought one from them for low 100ish so sounds about right. It was a year or two ago though!

Not standard, its after market. Always try cleaning the stepper before replacement.
