lol, its ok, will give a good comparison. This was the initial tune from before xmas.

Was at 16 pound, pump fuel & a very hot day. Final tune we expect to see another 30 odd kws come from cam gears & maybe another 10 across the board. See how it drops down at the top end of the rev range, thats exhaust timing letting it down. The plan is to see that line keep rising with some retaration on the verniers.

Bolted my air filters together today, as each intake pipe was moving around a bit. And before you all ask, all I have to do is release the hose clamps on the front pipe & I can remove both the filters quite easily :)

And only 3 or so smokes in the ashtray.. Must have been a quick job... Lol...

I am interested to see how this goes.. Mainly cause with the Evo engine, I had that up to 238kw @ the wheels.. And that was just withered bigger turbo and intake on what was a pretty much stock set up.. Mind due that was @ 20psi though...
I just had to add it ......

Na.. Front wheels.. When it was in the Sonata.. Was starting to jump out of the Dyno and the FWD couldn't take anymore power..

I haven't dyno'd the Lancer yet... But should have about the same power as I nodded it more with cars an other things here and there..
I just had to add it ......

Ben just started reading your whole thread again....yes i know i have no life.

Do you think the 6A13 intake manifold and plenium would bolt directly onto the 6A12. as you said the ports look way bigger then stock. Might be a nice simple upgrade????

Good question 8O

You would have to do both sections of the intake I'd say, you know the lower section that actually bolts to the head... thats where the big ports are.

Nice work Ben, good to see that it's on the road :)

.. sorry to hear about the overheating though :(

I should have mine back on the road by mid next week with a brand new clutch kit installed

I'll check out what radiator fans are on mine & let you know.. I think they're just standard fans

The only time mines really overheated badly was when I first got it & the cruise control was stuck on, so it was idling & driving over 3k revs & in boost range the whole time.. so the coolant was boiling out of the filler reservoir..

After that it hasn't majorly overheated even on the hottest days .. the temperatures creep up over halfway when you've been on the boost non-stop for a while, but they come back down within a few minutes when you ease off .. Drove the whole way to Sydney & back, on the boost most of the time & didn't have any issues ..

That said, I'm definitely going to be cutting some vents in my bonnet for the extra airflow!

Do you know if we can put in a bigger water pump? Or would that be pointless?
