Forum Upgrade

The long awaited version of phpbb3 has finally been released in its ported and stable form for phpnuke - called bbtonuke 3.05

So I've downloaded a copy & will begin testing it on the FTO Aus backup site.

Once Im satisified I can upgrade this site successfully, I will bring this site down for the upgrade. It supposedly only takes an hour or so to do. My only concern is a theme clash, but I can always revert back to a standard theme while I modify the old one to suit.

This will be the biggest upgrade the site has had since I moved it & fixed all the busted modules all those years ago. bbtonuke 3 is significantly better than this current version we run & has a bucket load more functionality. There's all sorts of extra fancy buttons to press. We'll finally be able to embed youtube videos into the forum & be able to direct link and display gallery pics in the forum.... and thats just the beggining. There's also 'quick post replys' for the post whores and much more!

Will keep you posted on how the testing goes!

Well f**k me, I got it to work!

Had to disable the antispam temporarily for it to install!

Here's a sneak peak of the new forum

All forums will be carried across from this old version of course.

Hmmm... Looks like the GSR/EVO forums.. Pretty americanised... I kind of liked our forum being something different... Rather then just a generic one.....

But a change is as good as a holiday I guess...

Thats just the 'vanilla' install. I'll be f*cking around for a while to make it look like this one, new skins etc. Its just got so much more functionality, not to mention security hole fixes.

lol...well if you said that the FTO is manufactured by Nissan and made in America you probably deserve to be blocked.

But reset all cookies... Got the question again.. Typed it in, and it takes me to a mini personal preference page, but does not sign me in..

I have logged into other forums with no problems...
