new R spec rubber for my car

ok looking into a new set of rubber again

But these ones will be going on another set of rims so I can put them on just for the track but still run on the street if I dont want to drag a set of rims alog with me in the car.

FALKEN RT615 RACE SEMI SLICK aprox $1080

TOYO R888 SEMI SLICK RACE TYRES aprox $1200

I still don't know what ones to get so feedback would be great

both are track rubber but I could get two sets of rims and get a set for each when I win lotto

other options are kumho v700, there is a new yokohama semi slick which is relativly good price and check out silverstone and hankook

also those prices are steep usually you will find they are same price or even cheaper then normal tyres

I will check those other ones out. As for price That is the cheepest I have found even eBay can't do better.

lol, i thought toyo had softer compounds and get chewed through quicker... id still go the falkens

You are right there as they will last for around 5000-10000Ks hard driving.
But the grip is unreal

still, anytime you have a problem trying to decide which racing rubber to get ill be standing there green with envy! cant even (afford to)get decent rubber on my hatch!

If you want a semi at the right price, stick with Federals! Just go up to the 595RS-R

+1. Awesome all round tyre. If your rimsize is smaller/bigger let me know but check to see if you can get them around these prices anyways (17inch):

From what i've heard the falkens are pretty good as well. I've never used them personally though so I can't comment. I've got rsr's atm on the sky.line boat and they're tops

The R888s will blow the falkens out of the water.

Personally, for sticky rubber i would be going for re55s (or the new replacement of them from bridgestone forget the model), yoko a048 or maybe the fed 595rs-r.

The rt615s aren't a true semi slick but are a nicer all rounder tire for street. Good compromise but not good for just dedicated hardcore driving.

FWIW, my bestmate used to run a set of re55s, currently running a048s. Another mate runs r888s ad I used to run a set of rt615s on my mps3 and as for the 595rs-r...i'm just going off forum reviews and magazine reviews.

For a spare set of tires for happy days, i'd definitely get proper semi slicks.

my rsr have been on for 2 years. I think they are now dying but they have had very good grip. Worst thing is the noise. they are noisy for highway or anything over 80kmh

Well after my last track day I have to say the Federl 595's where realy good and sticky so I will have to try the RSR's

ive got the toyo proxies seem really good seem to last longer than my previous adrenalins ,i heard a lot about the R1R's meant to be really good

TBH, for most people I'd be surprised if they could even tell the difference between a few similar, high-end semi slicks.
Personally, toyo, federal or bridgestone, go for any of them and you'll have a ball, and you can always change it up next time
