Yeah I'm back, got a problem

Post by FTEvolution »

So I am driving on Saturday and suddenly I notice that I have no guages. Car appears to be running fine.

Check fuses and the 10A bastage is blown, replace and ok. Then about 20 minutes later I notice it's done it again.

All guages (incl volt meter, can't be sure about the clock) and the LED display die when this happens. The LED display is still accruing km's so whatever is causing this os only to do with power to the instrument cluster.

Anyone seen this before? I don't have the space to pull this apart where I live atm.

I need to use this SOB car tonight and was thinking about putting in a 15-20A fuse; will that cause problems? Will something that low amp's arcing potentially cause a fire? Or would it still blow a 15-20 fuse before that sort of thing happens?

Help please.

dont put a large fuse in mate you then run a risk of it not blowing and damaging the intruments instead

somewhere along the wiring the + wire will be earthing out
