My midnight blue one had it. You get an extra switch in the mirror control unit. Borises old silver one that went to QLD had it as well

Hmm, mine has a light on the dash for it, which comes on for a second when I first start the car, however I don't have a button next to the mirror controls. Does this mean my FTO previously had it...?

Wow....didnt realise it was this common, I was thinking it was rare :?

If you control the revs you control the wheel spin. I can see traction control being useful in wet conditions though.

I do, but normally have it turned off anyway. It cost me about a second on the 1/4 mile having it turned on.

You foot is the best traction control in our "low" powered cars.

Plus it makes you a better driver balancing wheelspin and revs for a fats takeoff. (On track of course)

I own Dstocks old Midnight blue GPX so I have it, it really is a bitch, and prevents a front sway bar install. Can anyone explain why this is though, I have nfi how a single button causes something so mechanically drastic that you can't install a swaybar/strutbrace/whatever Im thinking of.

And yes as Schumie said, its f**ken sh*t for roundabouts or cornering hard.

I believe there is an extra device attatched to your throttle body, which regulates the throttle (therefore power) and prevents you from breaking traction.

I think the extra bits on the intake manifold sit up a bit higher, therefore preventing a strut brace install.
