Seat Rails

Post by Jono »

hey,

does anyone know what parts you need to replace seats in a fto, with say, Recaro's or sparco' seats? As in are there replacment rails which are then drilled into the floor? or do u use the existing rail?

thanks

You can get a rail for them, & they bolt straight on, no drilling, but i don't know where in OZ, as i got mine imported from Japan by my friend.

I check the part number tomorrow morning (if i can find it) & mind you its for Sparco.

In Sydney, for Recaro rails (locking runners), you can get them from Autotek http://www.autotek.com.au

I've got their brochure from maybe 6 months ago, and locking runners for one seat is $110.

And for Sparco seats, you can contact Speedzone in Greenacre (9709 4655). Can't remember the price he quoted me though.

But whatever you do, go to a place that has an engineering certificate to carry out this type of work. The safe belt can only do so much if the seat ain't installed properly.
