For the old, the ugly and anybody else who either doesn't contribute to society or drives at 20MPH on a twisty country road.

yeah, i sh*t myself laughing when i saw all these poms on the news laying on beach chairs in the local park and commenting on their 'heatwave' @ 31 degrees C
I'd love to see how they go as global warming progresses over the next few decades hehehe

hey come on guys
coming from CHCH in NZ where its usually pretty cold and only hitting 30 degrees a few times a year I understand where these guys are coming from. Your oz summer getting to 46 is just f**king insane
would be interesting to see how you all would go when it sometimnes doesnt get above 0 during the day or goes way below zero at night and a frost is actual ice everywhere not just a bit of due (those from ACT excepted)
but still it is funny

I just spent a month in England in January this year, when they claimed it to be the coldest winter they've had in years. I loved it way more than the heat. I also spent a day in Paris when it didn't get 'warmer' than -9 degrees and I quite honestly didn't find it that bad. Just wear the right clothing and it's all good.would be interesting to see how you all would go when it sometimnes doesnt get above 0 during the day or goes way below zero at night and a frost is actual ice everywhere not just a bit of due (those from ACT excepted)

I was in the UK and Paris around the same time. Xmas and New Year in the UK then went to Paris on 4th Jan. It snowed the next day. I had 8 layers on and was still freezing.Dan25 wrote:

I spoke to my mum yesterday (she lives in UK) and she said they were having a heatwave, I asked how hot and nearly fell off my chair when she said "27!" Bahhh!!!

Only twice in all my years of skiing in Scotland have I managed to ski wearing shorts. When you can it is immense but for the other 99% of the time its too risky in the bollock department to even tryBennoz wrote:Yeah, I only like it that cold when Im about to hit the ski slopes. Apart from that, Im wearing shorts 24/7 - even if it requires a heater on
