tru, the supra is probably the macho version of the FTO but i guess thats only becuz of size.
when i bought the car i was shocked to actually realise how small it actually is!! i have to admit though, the passenger seat has got more leg room than my friends 300zx twin turbo, supra and RX-7 series 7. Thats a pretty good group of cars to beat :P

I too have never gotten the "It's a girls car" comment but that might have something to do with the fact that I'm 6 foot 4 and have a shaved head <insert image from movie: Romper Stomper>

And when I get a heavily supercharged V8 built for my car then I would like to see someone call it a 'Girls Car'... and I'm not joking I will be getting a custom built V8 for it as soon as I can get a quote for it and obviously raise the money to do it...

you can't compare an FTO with a ford or holden as they are both completely different types of cars. FTO are obviously more stylish and more of a sport car, whereas fords and holdens have more powerful engines, such as the Ford Falcon SR.

I am a 'girl fto driver' and thanx to a fellow fto driver (male) i am now a new member of the club. I love my fto but theres nothing girly about it, cept that its purple. I think that the chix should join coz, although you have to know the basics of using a computer, there are actually some interesting reads. So yeh, go tha girl drivers!!

Welcome hails!
Glad u love your FTO! as u shuld! :o
Dont want to repeat everyone but FTO's ROCK!!

True, I've seen ladies driving FTOs, and usually im not sure weather to keep eyeing the car or the lady!
Who can resist those cruves and style (of the car)

It aint about Male/Female with the FTO- u can't label our babies as Girls cars, or for that matter guyz cars

hey, the FTO is in a class of its own! 8)
Represent! hahaha

Well!!!!!!
I'm glad it hasn't taken much for you guys to forget about me ....
Yes I am a female driver and I do have a manual and I am into the car scene , I have been in car clubs for the past 5 years and have rebuilt several cars with my father and brother by my side.
I am currently building my own special project car which hopefully will do close to 11 or 12 sec on the quarter mile... and I am very much mechanically minded.
It's funny because I get the opposite , people actually ask me if it's my boyfriends car and I am so used to that now as I had an XY in my earlier days.

As for driving like a female well .... only those that have been in the car with me can answer that question!

I have also tried to get more female drivers in the club but it comes back to intimidation and if they have the nerve to try ...?

I think we really need to get out a bit more in public i.e Autosalon is a great opportunity to get the club out there and to get more girls interested...

haha im a girl with a fto, and im interested.
i think people would call it a chicks car because it looks small sporty and cute. :P however when i was buying mine, (a white 97 gp sports, manual)(a month ago), my friends were saying that it is a boys car!
now that i have it they love it, the first comment, "oh wow is that really yours?" they definitely are the underline of the supra. gotta love those curves.
and as for the boys checking out the girl or the fto!!!... oh well, at least boys are lookin'. :D
