yeah not sure if i want to fork out for geniune Volk TE's but ive heard Rota do a replica which arent as expensive.. or il find something similar to them. but just that general shape and completely black

genuine black aswell.
You could always get a copy and powdercoat them black if they dont stock black as a colour. Just my 2cents

haha, yeah no chance im dropping 4.6k on rims.. thats almost half of what i spent on my car!
hmm what does powder coating cost roughly for 4 rims?

a few months ago the cheapest i got quoted was 60bux a wheel.... And another shop quoted 75bux for sandblasting, tyre removal and paint.
Paint choices were endless, from matt to sating to high gloss and any colour of your choice from their paint selection. Although it would be different where you are.

I reckon if youre gonna paint your rims go gloss black over matt black. Matt black looks dull and dirty imo, thats my 2c

good idea to get quality lock nuts on them? wonder how easy to steal them actually?
