Hey Astro, I've used both Max and Lightwave, and I found I could complete things in Lightwave! Pretty sure they have a demo to download.
Lightwave has a rather unusual interface, but once you get use to it is sweet as.
At www.lwg3d.org is a tutorial to create a car from scratch (mustang). I used that to teach me how to model. It was so popular that they made it into a CD tutorial and sell it for around $30US (but you can still view it online.. it has something like 500 pics...). Check it out if you can.

Just had some thought and the only thing I'd probably change (for me any way) would be the wing. I'd prefer something in the look of the Ford V8 supercars:

That wing + bonnet and the rest of the kit would put me over the moon. :D

why are those centre of the rims so 'bruised' looking?

i know they are sposed to be silver with hollow spokes but they look pretty 'bruised' to me.

btw what size are they and are they light?

 thinkg of getting a set of 17x7.5 +31 in white!

Hehehe these are super light weight, cause they are for model cars & not the real thing ehehhee  hmmmm Which reminds me i need to finish my FTO model too.

SORRY for not repling sooner to everyone that has asked me questions but I have been unable to access the site for over a week (be careful when changing your theme in your profile) but all is ok now...

FTO12345 no I haven't downloaded 3D-max cos I dont think my system would cope with it and I'm too lazy to download a 75MB file using my pissy dial-up connection, sorry... has anyone else tried?

Yes Mikey he has put my crayon and your photochop skills to shame but I have a plan to get him back...Muhahahaha  oops I got carried away again...

Kev I haven't sent Adriano's designs to NewGel yet as I couldn't access our site to download the pics to send but now I can pull my finger out and send them...

BTW I downloaded a version of Rhino3D (Rhino3d.com) only problem is it only allows you to save 25 times  but the program continues to work after that but you cant save anything you create... man this modeling and rendering sh*t is hard... I made the torch in the tutorial but I dont want a torch I want an FTO with the most 'Fully sic bro' body kit... 8)

Anyway I will try to see if I can make any FTO with this program and it should look better then my 'Robb Drawings' maybe :?

Cheers,

Hey Adriano,

do u think u can blend this front bumper into your concept?

Image

Hope you can smooth out the sides with your flared out front fenders.

Also at the rear end, I think the rear bumper need to be widened as well rite?

Hope to c them butt real soon too!

Cheers!
