Cambelt Install

Post by Blk-Jet »

For all you tech heads out there I need a hand.

My heads are in and i've got an issue with the cam belt. THe crank pulley is off and the auto tensioner has been reset pending the belt install. now this is my problem. Aligning the bloody cams!!

Has anyone done this before if so, could you take me step by step on how to know where the cam gears should sit?

The crank is at TDC so any help is much appreciated, and yes i've read through the manual about 100 times and can't figure it out!

I think sometimes the tensioner leaks with a replacement belt, (i.e when taking oldi off), i didn't replace mine, all is good.

Sometimes though, i was told, it is inevitable.
