Hi guys/gals...
I've noticed that there are little dials just behind the headlights on the inside... Mine point a little too low for my liking and would love to bring them up a bit... are these dails used for adjusting the angle of them? I've turned one a little but didn't seem to do much and didn't want to muck around with it too much.... wasn't sure what would fall off lol
There are two on each side...
Does anyone know what they actually do and what the correct adjustments should be?
If they are the lights angles... do they adjust both the main lights and the high beam as well?
So you guys are telling me that you know nothing about this?
ok ... not having a go... just surprised that's all
heheheh
guess I'll just have to play with it and then let you all know
Cheers for now.
actually i'd be interested to know too, although i got mine adjusted by a mechanic last year, and havent needed to touch it since... i can ask the mechanic next time i see him i guess
Disrespect is easy. Respect is the difficult road to take.

i guess not many people have done this...
i know the easiest way is to use a wall of some sort to line them up on however i've never needed to do it.
basically there are two nuts/screws for each light( Low, High ). they adjust up,down and left, right. Play with them. only hard thing i found was, it was hard to adjust the drivers side light as the power steering can gets in the way.
right angled screwdriver makes short work of adjusting them
also, i've always found it better to use a large open space like a car park - especially when adjusting the high beams, doing it just against a wall can make it a little hard to judge how much effect the change is having.
it pays to have a piece of chalk with you so you can mark the centre of your lights on the wall or road with a cross (+), before you start to alter them. This way if you over do things you have a reference point to come back to.
A common mistake many people make is to align the headlights symetrically. They are not supposed to be even.
After you have adjusted them, another thing to check is how they appear to a car in front of yours. If you adjust them to high they could give the appearance that you have your high-beams on, blinding the car in front of you and making you a target for the police too.
hey guys thanks for that...
sorry was away from PC for a bit.
Will; try and have a go at them tomorrow and get them right.
thanks for the info about the lights.

dont quote me on this but i beleive that you are supposed to have your normal headlights aimed at the ground about 20 or so metres in front of the passenger side light. Far too often i see cars with their lights pretty much aimed at oncoming traffic...a little annoying. Not sure about high beams - i guess it makes little difference to where you point them - just as long as they illuminate what you want.
